Elizabeth Noelcke
State Project Coordinator
Elizabeth Noelcke joined the Center for Health Transformation in March of 2008. As State Project Coordinator, Ms. Noelcke works with members and CHT staff to focus on Medicaid, Health Savings Accounts and healthcare consumerism policy issues. She is a contributing author in Stop Paying the Crooks (CHT Press, 2009).
Prior to joining the Center for Health Transformation, Ms. Noelcke was awarded a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development. While at NIH, Ms. Noelcke worked on a wide variety of research projects, including a novice driver risk-assessment and intervention, a mentoring intervention for at-risk, inner-city youth and a childhood diabetes and glycemic index pilot study. During her fellowship tenure, Ms. Noelcke was published in several peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book chapter on social influences and health behavior.
Ms. Noelcke earned an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Journalism, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. While at UNC, Ms. Noelcke served as Head Copy Editor for The Hill, a campus political review. She was also a regular contributing writer for SparkPeople.com, a leading health and wellness website. She is, of course, an avid Tar Heel fan.
Ms. Noelcke is a Cincinnati native and currently resides in Washington, DC.
