Terry Womack

Terry Womack is a Fellow with the Center for Health Transformation where he focuses his experience and expertise on our large employer project, including health and human capital issues.

Terry has over 30 years of corporate experience in human capital strategy beginning his career at International Paper Company, followed by over fifteen years with Champion International Corporation. He retired from BellSouth where he held a series of executive level positions centered primarily on issues of employee health, process improvement and human capital strategy.

Currently, Terry is actively involved with the Healthy Georgia Diabetes and Obesity Project, a broad-based effort launched by the Center for Health Transformation to improve the health of all Georgians. Combining his understanding of human capital metrics with his corporate experience in both compensation and benefits, Terry is helping to integrate outcomes measures, financial incentives and consumer education into the Project’s broader agenda to transform health and healthcare.

Past affiliations include involvement with the Health Policy Institute of Boston University as a Pew Fellow.

Originally from Alexandria, LA, Terry received a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 1973, and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Planning from Vanderbilt University in 1977. He resides in Peachtree City, GA with his wife, Sheron, and their two children, Claire and Taylor.
